Wolves Re-Up With Mavericks

The Chicago Wolves have renewed their one-year affiliation agreement with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League for the 2012-13 season.

“The Wolves are once again proud to be affiliated with a first-class organization in the Missouri Mavericks,” said Wolves General Manager Wendell Young.  “President and General Manager Brent Thiessen and Head Coach Scott Hillman run an extraordinary organization and we couldn’t have asked for a more solid partnership last year. We are looking forward to another successful season as affiliates in 2012-13.”

The Missouri Mavericks play at the 5,800-seat Independence Events Center in Independence, Mo., and averaged 5,531 fans per game during the 2011-12 season. The three-year-old Mavericks were honored as the CHL’s Franchise of the Year for the second straight season in 2012. On the ice, Missouri registered a 39-21-6 record last year and reached the Conference Finals in the 2012 CHL playoffs.

The Wolves open their 19th season on home ice when they battle the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Allstate Arena.  For more information on ticket packages, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
