Nardella will visit Oak Lawn Public Library at 4 p.m. and Tinley Park Public Library at 7 p.m. Nardella, who’s fifth on the Wolves’ all-time points list with 298, played for Italy in the 1998 and 2006 Olympics.
The “Read to Succeed” program, now in its 18th season, teaches the importance of recreational reading and encourages children to use the many resources that libraries have to offer. Nardella will speak about the benefits of reading outside the classroom and discuss how it plays an important part in his life as a professional athlete.
Children can win prizes including Wolves hats, pennants and tickets to upcoming games for setting and achieving reading goals
Throughout the season, more than 17,000 children will participate in the program, with Wolves players making appearances at select libraries throughout the Chicago area.
